The Wombats Tickets
The Truman | Kansas City, Missouri
Kansas City! Missouri music lovers from all across the city! WHO’s ready for another wild and crazy Thursday night at the Truman with us and our besties in the middle of the crowd with all the Girls Boys and Marsupiles in the city?! OKAY OKAY - we promise we won’t have any LIVE animals here at The Truman when we turn up this February - but we WILL have The Wombats, right here jamming along with us all night long!
The who the what now?!/ Did I stutter folks?? THE WOMBATS - our English indie rockers who love Beautiful People That Ruin Our Lives (and - don’t we all to be honest?) - are back and on tour all across the continent this year! And lucky us, we get them right here in the city to start the 2026 concert season off right!
Tickets are on sale NOW and starting at $51 for our night’s session of Dancing To Joy Division under the disco ball. You know what to do KC - see ya soon!
There’s no better party than a quick turn up party here at The Truman - 24/7, 365. Well.. maybe not 24/7. And yea we don’t have concerts and events EVERY day of the year either - but you get what we mean! We’re here to bring the best acts and experiences here to the city to have us all have a little rock and roll sesh, a little mosh pit action to some punk metal, a little r&b love stories for you and your crew and the crowd as we sing all the lyrics to our favs - word for word, breath for breath. And THIS February on Thursday the 19th - we’re bringing you our weekly dose of post punk revival with a whole new sound from The Wombats as they bring their North American Tour right here to The Truman. We got the vibes, the sauce, the fun show snacks that you love - and now, all we need is you! ‘Cause once this show is gone. It’s gone! It’s hitting spots like the Jannus in Florida, Atlanta, The Ritz in Raleigh, even College Street in Connecticut. BUT - none of those places are KC, none of them are right here at home like The Truman.
The Wombats have been bringing indie-rock chaos and classic English charm to the world since forming in Liverpool way back in 2003. So when bandmates Matthew Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen, and Dan Haggis met in university and started turning their sharp, witty songwriting into a full-blown global force - they were determined to break the mold, and that they did. They broke through with their debut album A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, delivering timeless anthems like “Let’s Dance to Joy Division” and “Moving to New York,” songs that went gold and platinum across multiple countries and cemented the band as one of the most infectious voices of the late-2000s indie wave. From Glastonbury stages to international headlining tours, The Wombats kept evolving every show - balancing dance-floor electronic hits we could dance to with punchy guitars, and stacking up critical praise along the way. Their fifth album Fix Yourself, Not the World debuted at number one in the UK, proving their staying power. Now, two decades in, they’re still writing choruses that entire rooms scream back - and now, they need us front at the show! Shall we give it to them folks?? DUH!
Grab your crew - the dancers, the hard rockers, everyone who loves a good guitar riff. And then - time to party y’all. See ya real soon - right here at the Truman for our weekly turn up.
